John Prejean
John Prejean, 84, passed away Monday, April 14, 2008 in a local hospital. A native of Milton, Louisiana, formerly of Orange, Texas, John had resided in Lake Charles the last 45 years. A graduate of Milton High School, he retired in 1987 as a supervisor working with Gulf States Utility for 40 years. John, known as the "family chef", was an avid bowler but always enjoyed a round of golf. He is survived by his daughters, Cheryl Prejean and Deborah Prejean, grandchildren, Kristie St. Romain and Angelic Thibodeaux and her husband, Timothy; great grandchildren, Amberly, John Paul and Kade Thibodeaux and Christopher Thibodeaux and his wife, Heather; great great grandchildren, Kiley Thibodeaux and Alaura Scritchfield; sister, Anna Bell Domingue; brother, James C. Prejean. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Olivia Prejean; wife, Juanita Bridges Prejean; sister, Mary Lou Lormand; brother, Preston Lee Prejean. His funeral will be at 11:00 am, Thursday, April 17, 2008 from St Margaret Catholic Church under direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Burial will in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Wednesday from 4 until 9 pm with a 6:00 pm scriptural rosary and from 8 am until 10:30 am on Thursday. |
