A retired electrical engineer and a resident of Baton Rouge, he died Thursday, April 10, 2008. He was 82, a native of Bryant, Ark.,
and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Sunday, April 13, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visiting resumes at the funeral home chapel on Monday from 9 a.m. until religious service at 10:30 a.m., conducted by Dr. Burn Page. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by his wife of 62 years, Betty Rose Robertson Miller; daughter, Debra Miller Cassel and husband Clark, of Baton Rouge; son and daughter-in-law, Guy Jr. and Melba Miller, of Laurel, Miss.; and four grandchildren, Danielle and husband Trey Snider, Katie Miller, Simon Cassel and Benjamin Cassel. Preceded in death by his parents, Hinton and Hazel Miller. He was a deacon at First Baptist Church, Baton Rouge, and a member of the Louisiana Engineering Society.
